General Questions

What do I need to know before I call?

Quickest response…call us! We don’t mind talking through your need. But some of the things we will ask at that point will be……How much material do you have? Is it in boxes or loose? Upstairs or downstairs?

When is my next scheduled shred?

Shoot us an email Info@supershred.net and we will be happy to send you your yearly scheduled service dates.

Will my price change from the Proposal I received?

All Proposals are good for 30 days.  If the quote you were sent is past the date on the orginal document, simply contact us and let us confirm all the details are still current and we will get you an updated proposal.

Paper Prep

Do I have to remove paper clips and staples from my paper before you can shred it?

No!! Our shredders can handle small clips, staples, rubber bands and even your hanging files.

I have X-rays in our clients’ files, do I need to remove them?

Possibly. If we are to shred your files onsite the X-rays should be pulled out to be shredded separately.  If we are destroying your files offsite, we can sort the X-rays out if that is something you do not want to do.  We can work out all of those details when we set up your job.  Bottom line…it is better not to mix paper with X-ray materials. 🙂

My paper is in binders, do I need to take it all out?

Yes. Our shredders like to eat paper not metal.  The 3-ring binders tend to catch and slow progress of the paper being able to shred and also impacts the recycling process.

Can I put CD’s in my shred bin?

Please keep paper completely separate from any type of plastics such as CDs, DVDs, pill bottles and even hard drives.  We can definitely shred these items but in our recycling process we itemize the contents so the recycling process can be executed fully.

Paying My Bill

What are the ways I can pay for service?

We accept all major credit cards or you can pay our driver with a business check or cash.

Can I pay my bill online?

Absolutely! Through our website you can pay your invoices.

Can I pay my bill over the phone?

Yes! Please give us a call at 252-439-1200

Residential Customers

Will I see my material shredded if dropped off?

No. With our walk-in customers, it is self serve. We provide the rolling cart to bring the material into our secure facility and then help discard your contents into our locked cart which is shredded at the end of every day. Our trucks are on routes during drop-off hours, but they always know to check us as their last stop.
